Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) today organized
a one of its kind camp - a BLOOD DONATION CAMP. Over 200
students from its constituent colleges SPTG AND SPMG participated
in the camp. The event called as The BLOOD DONATION CAMP
was organised at the PDPU by the Young Indians Nets of
PDPU i.e. SPTG’S YI NET AND SPMG’S YI NET
in collaboration with the SPMG CULTURAL COMMITTEE. The
camp was organised in collaboration with PRATHAMA BLOOD
CENTRE. The camp has been designed to fit the students
grueling schedule.
Prathama blood centre is India’s largest and
the most modern blood centre. It is recognized by central
and state government. The camp was supervised by several
doctors and nurses from prathama blood centre to help
the donor in giving blood voluntarily. The camp started
around 12 in the noon and ended by 7 in the evening.
From college faculty to students to guards to housekeeping
staff each and everyone of the university participated
resulting in huge success of the camp.
Sptg’s YI faculty coordinator Dr. Ashish Sarkar
graced the occasion and told students to actively participate
in donating blood. As a gesture of appreciation, a token
gift was also offered to every donor just a way of saying
“thank you” |
