Dr. Vishvesh J. Badheka, born 1979, studied Metallurgy
at The M.S. University of Baroda, India. He received
his Master of Engineering degree in 2001 and his doctorate
in July 2007.
He is in receipt of following research projects from
different funding agency.
I) In 2001/2002 he got the "Young Scientists Award
Scheme" from the Department of Science & Technology
(DST), New Delhi, India, for his project "Automatic
Narrow Gap Welding" in the form of financial assistance
for carrying out further research on this topic for
three years.
II) Recently he is in the receipt of second “Young
Scientist Award scheme” from same agency, for
the project “Gas Metal Arc Welding with Metal
Core Wire” in the year July 2008
III) He has also received research project on “Weldability
aspects of Low Activation Ferritic-Martensitic Steel
Welded by Activated Flux Tungsten Inert Gas Welding”
from Board For Research in Fusion Science & Technology
(BRFST),National Fusion Program of Institute for Plasma
Research, Department of Atomic Energy, Gandhinagar,
India in the year Sept 2008. Project is on going and
is in collaboration with Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic
Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam.
He has seven international and six national publications
to his credit.
Worked as a lecturer at the Metallurgical and Materials
Engineering Department of the M.S. University of Baroda
for 4.6 years, Since September 2007 has been working
as Assistant Professor at Institute of Petroleum Technology,
Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gandhinagar-382007,
Gujarat, India.
