Dr. Lalita Ledwani is carrying out research on natural products and plasma surface modification of polymers. She has isolated and characterized various plant constituents with the help of chromatographic and spectroscopic methods. She has developed more than hundred shades of natural dyes form plant extracts of different plants species on various polymers. She also has been working on Bio-fuels from some indigenous oilseeds. Areas of her two ongoing research projects are: Plasma surface modification of polyester and bio-degradation of synthetic dyes by microbes.

Her future research interest are Next generation bio-fuels, Microbial enhance oil recovery, Ecology & environmental, Corrosion control etc.
