I, Akshinthala Ravi Prasad have graduated in Mechanical Engineering, from College of Engineering, Anantapur, JNTU, Hyderabad, A.P. with a distinction. I have done my M.E. degree from University college of engineering, Osmania University, with Automation & Robotics as specialisation. I have registered and pursuing my Ph.D with JNTUA, Anantapur, AP on a project title “Investigation of Hot Spot temperatures of canned motor for different cooling circuits”.

I have undergone done One year training in ‘Nuclear orientation course’ at Training school, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Trombay, Mumbai, India during the period of (1-09-1981 to 31-07-1982).

I have served the premier Research Organisation Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Trombay, Mumbai(BARC) for 23 years at various capacities. I had joined BARC as Scientific officer(C) in the year 1982 and had occupied the position of Scientific Officer (F) at the time of taking VRS.

Having the flair/passion for teaching, I took VRS and had joined Vasavi college of engineering, Hyderabad, as Asst. Professor and served the college for 4 years
1. Guiding the students to complete their academic projects during their under graduate courses.
2. Taught subjects like (i) Machine drawing ( (ii) Control system theory (iii) Element of Mechanical Engineering (iv) Product design and process planning.

I have joined School of Nuclear Energy, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, as adjunct Professor, and have taught the subjects namely (i) Introduction to Nuclear technology and (ii) Nuclear thermal hydraulics during the first semester and teaching (i) Nuclear Reactor Safety and (ii) Nuclear Power plant engineering during the second semester.

I am proficient at using the software packages namely ANSYS and NISA for Structural and Thermal analysis. I am also proficient at using the software packages namely AUTOCAD, FORTRAN. I have also extensively used the ASME Section III- NB code for designing and analysing the nuclear components.
