Industry-Academia Worskshop on Upstream Petroleum Technology
The inauguration of the above-mentioned Workshop was held on 11th November, 2010 at PDPU Campus.
To bridge the industry-academia gap, Lovraj Kumar Memorial Trust and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), in association with Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University have organized a three day workshop on “Upstream Petroleum Technology from 11th – 13th November, 2010. The event held at PDPU campus aims to share the experience of upstream of Oil & Gas professionals with the teaching faculties of academia in the country to enhance their knowledge regarding the industry as well as to broaden the horizons of course modules as well as teaching methodology and practical learning.
The event began with keynote address by Shri A.K. Hazarika, Director (Onshore) ONGC who gave a brief presentation about carbon management in Upstream Oil & Gas Sector – ONGC experience. It was further marked by address of Shri Anank Kumar from LMKT who illustrated the objectives of the workshop and Shri Anil Johari, ED – Asset Manager, ONGC Ahmedabad gave an overview of the course conted of the workshop. It was concluded with a vote of thanks by S.S. Ramharhia from Petrofed.
The 3-day workshop will have eminent speakers from top-notch Oil & Gas companies like ONGC, Schlumberger & Weatherford. They will cover the various aspects of current and emergent technology & practices in this field like hydraulic fracturing, acidisation, fracturing & proppants, coiled tubing operations, cementation, SRP automation projects. |
