PDPU students organized card making workshop for
Rural Children on Gandhi Jayanti

On 2nd October 2009, Students of Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University had organized card making workshop for children of villages namely Raisan, Kudasan, Sargasan & Por with the help of govt. school of respective villages. More than 120 children participated in the card making workshop.

 
     
   
     
 

Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University offers courses in Petroleum Management, Petroleum Technology, Liberal Studies, Solar Energy & Nuclear Studies. PDPU has undertaken community development initiative with an objective to be part of the growth of the surrounding villages and to sensitize and motivate students to be a part of societal progress along with their own development.

To provide a platform for creativity & expression to rural children; around 50 PDPU students from School of Petroleum Management, School of Petroleum Technology & School of Liberal Studies got together and facilitated the workshop. Putting creativity flowing children made cards on various themes like Diwali, me & my best friend, nature & abstract designs. The workshop was supported by GSPC (Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation) and it will use the cards as diwali greetings on this Diwali.
