Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University is always ahead in developing innovative models to ensure its students development. For this summer, PDPU has come up with a rare concept of Campus jobs for students.
Community Development Initiative (CDI) is one of the departments of the University, which involves students in community service program to develop them as a better humans and citizens.
Vacation Workshop 2010 is one of the activities of CDI. It organizes various workshops for children of surrounding villages with objectives to provide them exposure and build confidence in the children. Month long workshop is huge event covering 700 students and more than 30 faculties. 3 PDPU students are working as workshop coordinators to manage the workshop and ensure smooth functioning of activities on campus. Abhishek Sukhadia, 1st year B.Tech, Dixit Patel, 1st Year SLS and Jinal Mevada, 1st Year, SLS have been selected as workshop coordinators.
The student interns are managing 7 workshops consisting around 350 students everyday. Once started working on the campus, their management and communication skills have improved a lot and the successful and smooth execution has build confidence and developed self esteem as it is their first Job.
