Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (UGC recognized) has been established by Gujarat State Legislative Act in 2007 with the intent to nurture a world class talent pool of professionals in an academically stimulating research intensive environment. The University promotes pedagogical excellence, research, training and consultancy in the specialized domains of Engineering & Technology, Management and Liberal Studies. Director Profile

The Director, being the academic as well as administrative head, is expected to have proven administrative, teaching and research background (including significant experience in research guidance at the Ph.D. level) with leadership qualities. An intense focus on institution building in a holistic sense is a desired attribute for this position. He should be a Ph.D with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with an outstanding academic record throughout and a minimum of 10 years experience as a Professor in a reputed educational institute. Applicant should preferably be not more than 60 years of age. The post carries a fixed pay of Rs.80,000/- (revised) per month (fixed) with usual allowances and facilities as per the IIT norms.

This is a full time post and appointment will be on contractual basis for a period of 5 years or till the attainment of 70 years, whichever is earlier.
