Dr. Rohit Srivastava has joined School of Liberal Studies in May 2010. Prior to joining he was working as a post doctoral fellow at Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad. He completed his Ph. D. from Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad under the able guidance of Prof. R. Ramesh in March, 2010. During his Ph. D tenure he got opportunities to attend several national and international conferences/ symposiums specially a prestigious course “European Research Course on Atmosphere”, Grenoble, France.
His major research interest is to understand hydrological cycle using stable isotopes as a tool. He extensively studied and developed new understanding about ocean surface water processes, cloud micro physical processes, rain formation mechanism and atmospheric water vapour cycle during his thesis work. To study ocean surface water processes he undertook several scientific cruises specially two cruses to Antarctica. He has published several papers in reputed national and international journals.
His present research interest is to develop better understanding of hydrological cycle in the changing global scenario, in particular changes due to the effect of global warming.
