February 06, 2011 - PDPU Open Quiz Report

The 1st PDPU Open Quiz was organised on the 6th of February, 2011 (Sunday) had a brisk start on a Sunday morning with the brisk enthusiasm of the participants and the organisers-MIND RIPPLE, The PDPU Quiz Club. The quizmaster Jayanth Nair from 4th year, SPT,PDPU had the participants hooked from the first question which was “Latitude: 23° 13', North. Longitude: 72° 41', East ".

With the prelims over and the top 6 teams getting onto the stage, the real thrill started with 4 teams from PDPU and 2 from Nirma. Teams started to score at a brisk pace until it was elimination time after the penultimate round by which time 3 teams had being eliminated. Nirma University held their sway throughout the competition, the fight for a 2nd place finish was pretty close and PDPU won the battle for the 2nd place. Nirma University bagged the third place too. Arjun Yadav, Ashwarjya Mahapatra, Jayanth Nair and Vivek Bharadwaj 4th year students of SPT, PDPU were given away mementoes for their overall contribution to MIND RIPPLE, since its inception in 2008.
